Prefurd Welding Ltd. was established in Fox Creek, Alberta by John Tiegen in 1987.

Realizing the potential for the company's future, Prefurd was relocated to the Grande Prairie area in 1995, this marked the beginning of the expansion of our operations.

With demand continuing to increase in the growing Oil & Gas Industry, Prefurd diversified, expanding our services to include pipeline construction, custom fabrication and oilfield insulating. As a result of this diversification, Prefurd became a leading primary contractor on projects throughout Alberta and northern British Columbia.

Now a multifaceted contractor we take on a variety of projects in our community and within the energy sector, focusing on quality products with lasting customer service.
