About

Cairn Housing Society is a Grande Prairie-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe, stable, and supportive housing for individuals facing barriers such as poverty, mental health challenges, trauma, addiction, and physical health concerns. Operating within The Cairn on the Boulevard, the organization takes a compassionate, community-focused approach to housing—recognizing that a home is more than just a place to live; it is a foundation for healing, growth, and connection.

Through a Housing First model, Cairn Housing Society offers not only affordable housing but also access to integrated, on-site supports designed to meet residents where they are. Programs include peer support, life skills development, education and group programming, food security initiatives, and access to essential items such as clothing and household goods. Dedicated support staff and community partnerships help residents navigate social services, build independence, and improve overall well-being.

Rooted in inclusivity and dignity, Cairn fosters a strong sense of community by encouraging engagement, volunteerism, and mutual support among residents. By breaking down barriers to access and creating opportunities for connection and growth, the organization empowers individuals to reach their potential and live the lives they choose.

Cairn Housing Society plays a vital role in strengthening Grande Prairie’s social infrastructure—providing not just housing, but hope, stability, and a pathway forward for some of the community’s most vulnerable individuals.
