The Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS) is a national organization that was incorporated by an act of Parliament September 20, 1917 and holds the distinction of being the oldest veteran organization in this country. There are 59 Units across Canada, one in Mexico and one Unit in the United States called ANAVICUS.
ANAVETS is a "Not for Profit", volunteer-based organization.
The local Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAVETS), Unit 389 was formed in Grande Prairie in 1981 and the unit 389 Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1982.
Our Previous location was sold in 2021 and presently we are established at 10203 - 106 Avenue Grande Prairie Alberta.
We contribute to the good and welfare of our veterans and their families. Unit 389 has supported community groups including:

Squadron #577 Air Cadets
Clairmont Sea Cadets
3rd Grande Prairie Scouts
Grande Prairie Minor Hockey U7
Girl Guides of Canada, Wapiti Meadow District
Special Olympics, Grande Prairie
The Salvation Army, Grande Prairie
We foster friendship and camaraderie by providing a relaxing social club atmosphere where members and guests may socialize. Beverage including liquor and food will be available. Social activities may include Meat draws, BBQ, dances, darts and board games, open mic, & karaoke.
The hall will be available for community activities and private functions such as weddings, birthdays meetings and other celebrations.
